ToucAnne anchored at Blackbeard Creek. Taking a break from work, testing equipment and all those systems thoroughly, but at a leisurely pace. Before installation of 1KW of solar panels on pilot house roof.

ToucAnne started with a philosophy of simplicity, efficiency and self sufficiency. Key Systems include:
24 VDC House Battery Bank, utilizing economical Golf Cart batteries for 675 AH storage. Easily upgradable to
L16's with a capacity of 1305 AH.
4KW Inverter/Charger, providing ample sine wave power for household type appliances, and quick bulk charging
of large battery banks from generator.
1KW of Solar Panels, with MPPT controller. These provide enough daily power for refrigeration and lighting.
Easily combined with a short morning generator run for days when you must make water, wash & dry cloths, or
have other high energy needs. Solar panels are the ideal way to keep batteries at a high level of charge, making
7 to 10 year battery life a "piece of cake".
12 KW diesel generator, sized for providing bow thruster hydraulic power.
Convection Microwave provides an alternate electric oven for use when excess power is available.
Vacuum Head - Commercial Vacuum toilet combined with a unique Vacuum holding tank keeps odorous materials
under vacuum, with waste removed via shore pumpout or, when applicable, overboard.
Under Construction - Composting Head! A second head is in the design phase, utilizing a commercial
composting toilet, which will be vented at the top of the exhaust stack.
Design Stage - Hybrid Gas Stove - a propane stove with single induction burner to utilize solar energy when
excess is available.
Design Stage - Upright refrigerator/freezer with drawer storage. Current residential vacuum panel refrigerator
appears to be loosing its vacuum - daily energy consumption has more than doubled over a 5 year period! (Was
1300 watt-hours, is now 3500 watt-hours)
